It leads the way like a drunken cox
originality it generally mocks
new ideas get the knocks
it gives the brain the pox
originality it generally mocks
new ideas get the knocks
it gives the brain the pox
Drains and refills time like ballcocks
destroys inspiration like a lox
time it tries to outfox
as we drag through it like laden ox
Tells us how to wear our frocks
and how to get those handsome jocks
pseudo-high and pseudo-life behind its locks
where we hear only its vox
Once in a while it moves away from the orthodox
to something beautiful and true in its heterodox
it rocks our socks
and stops our clocks
and therein lies its paradox
