The seed of a decade begins to blossom
My skill sculpts my talent till
One vision
launches me into space

In a moment I move from midway to pinnacle
On point I am prime
I can be challenged by work
Choose from the gifted their imaginings
and help create tomorrow's mythology

Every dream has a shadow
A darkness that assumes a wildness
not wholly mine
It grows in the lights
across oceans and minds I don't know
backlashing my loves
and lifting my peace

I am losing my spirit in sparkle
My mind to a story I can't remember writing
A mirror image stalks me
birthed in half truths and lies
and I am loosing the line where it dies
and I live

My need for space becomes sacred
Back to the land of my soul's earth
Emerald green, barrier blue, uluru red
Where those who know
remind me of that which I sometimes forget

My body stops running in place
and embraced is my heart by all life there

I know where home is

Xavier

Xavier

An empty womb by choice
you grew so quickly
not under my heart
but in it

Born before time ended
a cry
a laugh
a breath
were never to pass through your lips

I could not even hold you well
for science's hopes flowed into you
your body so tender
that even my caring had consequences

The river in you was damaged
flooding above
backing up within
yet still needing more

Lullabies and love songs I sang
and talked to you of forests and oceans
and one who came before you

Your soul was trapped within a drowning mind
but I was able to hold you in my arms at last
once
before you heeded the call of our ancestor
and took your leave

Now I am filled with the unknowable
which I must learn to allow to fade
I must learn the day to day again
while cradling the memory of you
my almost
son

Xavier's Purpose?

Xavier's Purpose?

Humanity moving towards secrets
growing toward knowledge
no matter the length
no matter the size
each life
brings all closer to enlightenment

An old soul brings the message
stepping into a premature body
and a short uncomfortable life
with information written
on his biological parchment

Only after seizures and suffering
once more going thru the gateway to immortality
can the old soul's new life
deliver it's part
of eternity

Those close to the new
unable to see the old
attempt to cradle and comfort
the whole is unseeable
the message is unknowable to them
theirs is the gain and the loss
of the sacrificed

Missing Xavier

Missing Xavier

I will miss
the feel of your hand around my finger
seeing your eyes move in sleep
the touch and smell of your skin and hair
singing and talking to you

I will miss not
seeing your first smile
hearing your first laugh
understanding your first word
watching you become
knowing the color of your eyes

Xavier On The Ocean

Xavier On The Ocean

Premature body
tightly filled with fluid
expanding with illness
now
floats freely atop the womb of life
no longer held down
but up
by water

Tiny limbs
capable only of the movement of seizure
held stiff with the hope of science
now
extend thru the primordial salt of the earth
one with the rhythm
of the sea

Little ears
unable to tolerate sound
now
filled with whale songs

Small eyes
never opened
now
reflecting sea diamonds

A short life
sedated discomfort
now
dancing with the waves
through immortality
