Getting down in the dirty

where the scent

is sea and musk

and the words

are dust

The only thing wet

is the ink

and the only thing stiff

is the paper

It is time

to thrust in the pain

and pull out

the pleasure

until the rhythm is thick

a fast flowing muddy river

that polishes the page

covered in satisfaction

and sweat
