In Your Shadow
The passing of the man
so silent and strong
wounded me
In the land of make believe
I saw you play a man
so strong and silent
By mourning that you
I mourned him too
You won the prize
and mentioned your own
in thanks
Then you sang of yours
in loving memory
and in the music
I heard thoughts of mine
Now I grieve a little less
the wound is not as deep
for when I see you
I see both mine and yours
in your shadow
The passing of the man
so silent and strong
wounded me
In the land of make believe
I saw you play a man
so strong and silent
By mourning that you
I mourned him too
You won the prize
and mentioned your own
in thanks
Then you sang of yours
in loving memory
and in the music
I heard thoughts of mine
Now I grieve a little less
the wound is not as deep
for when I see you
I see both mine and yours
in your shadow
