An Ocean Of Experimentation
My lover and I wanted to break out of our shells
so we rented a cottage by the sea
where we could ride our own waves
while working through our own storms
We started simply
a little leather donax
and a strawberry top
Then we moved to the back
a couple of incised moons
with ghastly miters
which brought on tuberculate emarginula
in us both
So we rested on our stomachs for a bit
We rose as if out of a lazarus jewel box
and came together with a vengeance
A little trim for a sparse dove
and a full shuttlecock volva
until we suffered glorious striped engina
Some tea and a false-cup-and-saucer
to send us off to sleep
floating in each other's arms
