Do we really all start out with some spark
some desire small and deep
that does show us what we were meant to be
showing by feeling
by instinct
Is it the alpha children of the alpha parents
who recognize the spark for what it is
and do the work that builds the fire
And the alpha children of beta parents
may take a bit longer to find and fan their flame
but burn bright they ultimately will
The beta children of the alpha parents
their fire needs more tending and may not be as bright
but will burn long
And the beta children of the beta parents
become ghosts while they live
ghosts of smoke that hint at the people they might've been
