Slipping in and out

trying to focus

closing my eyes

to the pull of the void

seeing all my daydreams

the monsters of meridian

to the men of shocking sex

I fall in

and jerk out

was I really gone

for so long

for so little

I ache

I throb

and the page

is still as empty
