Love Remembered 

The hand that held you up 
isn’t needed 
has grown weak 

The ones who built you a home 
can’t find their way home 

And the knowledge they gave you 
is now an annoying broken record 

When love wrinkles 
around the memory 
crinkles around 
mobility 
thins and hangs 
from the bones of years 

Youth carries the beautiful burden 
of love remembered
