Migraine Morning
I woke with the throbbing behind my eyes
like dirty lights in my rearview mirror
and I knew my plan for the day
was about to be revoked
my license to enjoy light suspended
my freedom arrested
as I'm thrown into a personal drunk tank
handcuffed to a porcelain altar
