A half century swirls
white clarity
smooth snapshots
on the brittleness
of the moment
Tangy focus
silky reliving
then crackles
like baked paper
pages in an old diary

silver spreads
the thickness
over present circles
that then get caught
in the cuts of my teeth
like the words
I should've said

till the time grows fat
memories
as bloated
as my thighs
