Silence

Silence

Quiet distilling through me.
Thoughts evaporating and rising up and out.
The silence is screaming
yet I cannot find the act to make it laugh,
the conversation to make it think,
the motivation to make it happy.

I sit for hours trying to swim through the memories of the last few years,
looking for moments,
words,
deeds,
that would show me what brought me here
and how I went from alone
to lonely.

Motivational Mapquest

Motivational Mapquest

There is no Rite of Passage,
no ecstatic dance,
or ancient incantation,
to build me up.

No threshold to walk through,
no bridge to cross,
or path less traveled,
to mark my way.

Not a wise old crone,
not a knowledgeable teacher,
or new age prophet,
to guide me.

I'm silent and solitary on a monotonous sea,
with only an occasional vague wind,
that doesn't clear the clouds to the north star
to give me a somewhat idea of my course.

I've no map with a victorious red x,
no passion to motivate toward a goal
that remains secret even to me.

How can I desire without a destination?

Now

Now

A million lights,
uncountable warning signals;

the Earth is screaming as we continually rape her,
disease is attacking and our aids are smoke on the wind,
children's silent cries unheard behind the threat of oncoming gunfire.

Humanity is racing with evolution,
attempting to jump the track
as we chase the black exhaust
of the now ruined dream we once wanted to be.

Our fear of being trivial drives us forward
instead of applying the brakes,
and pieces of us begin to fall away
unable to fly at speeds beyond sound;

our resources,
our children,
our priorities.

We are on the verge of running a red light.

Magickal Potion

Magickal Potion

I've dug up the old notion
that all I need is a magickal potion.
A few exotic herbs, the right candle
and then on life I'll have a handle.

I create a charm
that will do no harm.
I write a chant
that's peaceful, not a rant.

Under the moon I cast,
summoning power to make it last.
The Lord and Lady come to me as I work the spell,
and it is then I know for sure all will be well.

To dare, know, will and keep silent without doubt
is what the Craft is all about.
What I desire I manifest,
then I am off to bed for a well deserved rest.

Perfect Storm

Perfect Storm

Rolling in the clouds of my sleep's sky,
we are lightening bolts that connect,
charging our auras with electricity.

We merge,
and our skin rains
as the winds begin to howl
from our throats.

Thunder cracks,
our last shelters fall
and we as forces of nature collide,
creating the perfect storm.
