Heart Burn
Small
insignificant
in the middle of it all
it spins
faster
stronger
as though pressing bone
before
and behind
it aches
become sharp
run thru on a rapier
no turn brings comfort
no side allows sleep
it builds
circling inside
always
it comes back
to itself
and its pain
It is said that memory resides in the mind
