The abyss is for staring into
when you cannot stand the sight
of yourself
The void is for screaming into
when you cannot hear
your song
Darkness
Darkness will not stare back
Darkness will not scream back
Darkness you do not greet
Darkness you do not feed
Darkness you do not acknowledge
for if darkness knows you
it will know nothing else
for the rest of your days
