Who Wants To Live Forever

We create vampires 

because the blood is the life 

We create witches 

because we hope spells work when surgeons don’t 

We create werewolves 

because we fear the beasts we can be 

We create a monster 

for the same reason 

we birth offspring 

we want to live forever 

even if it’s just a cell 

in someone else’s 

reanimated corpse
