Might someone become a hero
not because of something they did
but for the last thing that was done
to them
that begins a long overdue
trail to justice
A verdict of the value
that was always there
and always ignored
Ignored no longer
Now
they're the first among many
the dead
who shouldn't be
Uninteded sacrifice
Unintentional martyrdom
