Trolls come out from under the bridge
and enter the halls of congress
Leviathans with tiny willies
huge appetites
and constitutions of tardigrades
They gorge on bills
and rights
and otherness
Always the others
their Turkish Delights
Stirring the flaccid egos
martyr complexes
self righteousness of the unwilling to evolve
weaponizing ignorance
promising godhood
delivering monsterdom
Their agenda changes
often
always
mid-sentence
an ugly aurora borealis
But it's an illusion
They didn't come out
to conquer
to subjugate
to distill and distort
until we like it
and thank them
and beg for more
abused children in love with their parent's belt
