An apple a day
keeps the show babies away
and stops them from stealing
the lollipop lights
The legacy robe's silk
holds the songs
of decades and strangers
wrapping around
then slipping away
Hiding inside a costume of light
the brighter the spot
the less you are seen
telling the truth
as you speak another's fiction
