unknown
immature
and frankly
unused
cardiac muscle in the world!

Notice it’s slow, plodding beat
that couldn’t find a rhythm
in a Tunnel Of Love
Don’t cry Boys and Girls!
Don’t shy away!
This myocardium
that throbbed never
for the King of Hearts
but always
for the King of Pain
is a lesson in wasted potential
See this weak striated muscle
never having worked
at reaching out
Observe the grayness
of this vertebrate muscle
never having been fully filled
with affection
Note the disconnected shallowness
of my heart
for depth can only first be found
in oneself
but this human nucleus
never had a pulse
not one expansion
for itself
Please egress to your left Ladies and Gentleman
and please patronize the souvenir shop
for something for the Boys and Girls
