Tenebrosus

It is said that nothing is hidden in the light

I disagree

Too much fades
invisible in the painful brightness as all colors become white

There is so much more in the darkness

You just have to work harder to see it

A casual glance will not do

Eyes open
literally and figuratively
and the shades and shadows that live in the luminance
reveal themselves
reveal all

When we want to find ourselves we go inward

There is no blacker darkness

We see all
we are
and are not
all we can be
and all we will never be

Tenebrosus gets the blame
(but not the shame)
when a person doesn't like what they see
in the pall of their soul

It is so much easier to be ignorant of oneself
when blinded by the light

Tenebrous, Latin root, means "darkness".
