Like reading an old diary
while scrying with a black mirror
she looked both ways
trying to see her future's past
Could she really have been so full of hubris
thinking she escaped unscathed
Was she searching for excuses
the comfort of victimhood
Our Lady Of Intense Suffering
Or was it somewhere in the middle
through but not straight
in between but not equal
Cutting away the ego
without chipping away the truth
She's all there somewhere
the person she
could've
would've
should've
been with who she
was
is
and now
might be
should be
wants to be
Is she strong enough
is she sharp enough
to see what's behind without getting lost in the pages
to smash the reflection of maybe
and set goals with honest heavy lifting
What to set alight
What to fold and temper
Contemplations while watching Vader burn
